Special Education

My goal as a teacher is to create an engaging and healthy atmosphere for all learners and their individual differences. Special education is truly where my heart lies. It is important to differentiate instruction and utilize practices that will meet the needs of all students. In my future classroom, I will incorporate many different practices to ensure all students are benefitted.

-Various forms of assignments (written, oral, visual, etc.)

-Extra time for completion
-Reading directions aloud

Modifications
-Highlighting important information on tests and quizzes
-Providing daily feedback
-Brain breaks in between tasks
-Using adjust rubric 
-Modified workloads and time demands
-Film or video supplements in place of written text
